Moby Wrap review and Giveaway!~Fabulous Fiesta Day #10
When we found out that we were getting NewBaby, I panicked! All of our baby stuff we got rid of three weeks prior in a yard sale, on craigslist and on Ebay. We had decided that if we had another baby we would buy all new things, because it wouldn't be for another couple of years, blah, blah, blah! Thankfully, I have an amazing group of friends, neighbors and family members that helped us out and gave and loaned us everything under the sun a newborn would need. One of my friends offered me her Moby Wrap and I accepted. I had heard such amazing reviews after I had Abbie that I *almost* bought one, but I was afraid that it would be like all the other wraps and carriers I've tried before.
I'm a bigger woman, (height and weight), and my back, since having kids, hasn't been all that great. Most carriers I've used cuts into my shoulders or digs into my love handles, or doesn't redistribute the weight evenly at all! I end up needing a massage from my husband at the end of the day, and barely able to move the next because of the strain on my back. So obviously, you see why I was a little reluctant- but after she showed me how to use it, I became excited!
When I came home, I pulled it out of the box and showed Brian. He was happy that I was so thrilled, but asked if he should buy more massage oil. I wrapped the Moby Wrap around me, and flipped it over my shoulders, finished securing it into place and put the baby in it. Brian looked at me as if I was a kung-fu princess that just did some wild kick-flip-hi-ya thing.. and then looked at the baby and was amazed at how comfy she looked and that she could actually still breathe while in it. He didn't believe me when I told him that I wouldn't be hurting later, in fact I think he said it was "impossible".
At the end of the night, after cooking, putting two kids to bed and sweeping the floor, while wearing NewBaby the whole time, I unwrapped her, laid her in bed and folded my Moby Wrap as I headed into the shower. Bri asked me again how my shoulders and my back felt, and honestly for the first time ever, (after wearing a baby for ANY amount of time), I could say it didn't feel like I wore a baby all night AT ALL.
The weight was evenly distributed, the baby was comfortable and snuggly, I even tried my neighbors 8 month old, just to see if it was different if the baby weighed more than 6 pounds! The Moby Wrap is wide enough that I could comfortably adjust the width of the pieces that laid on my shoulders, and then the little pouch that helps secure the baby is snug enough that you could feel comfortable doing just about anything with the Moby Wrap on!
The next day, I went grocery shopping with Alex and when he walked in the door, he bursted hysterical laughing. "Mommy, you gotta come look at this," he said through giggles. I walked in with all our bags, and my husband was wearing the baby in the Moby Wrap and loading the dishwasher with a big grin on his face. "See, I told you it was awesome!" I told him as I unloaded the groceries. The baby was snuggled and secure, and my husband was actually able to do things without being called away to a coo or goo or "hold me" cry.
We love the Moby Wrap, it really was the best fit for our family! We love it so much that we had to find one to give away to one lucky reader!

They donated 10% to adoption related charities. What an awesome boutique!
I would love the Moby for my sister. She's tall and wide shouldered so most wrap don't work for her. I tried to give her mine, and it was squishing her baby!
Great review!

A fact I learned:
They designed their boutique for two purposes. One is to highlight items that they found helpful while either waiting/when they brought their son home. Second is to promote and highlight products made by other adoptive parents.

Worth the Wait is such a cool store. I will have to keep it in mind when we begin our adoption journey one day.
I learned that she's an avid scrapbooker, so that's probably why they also sell adoption-related scrapbooking materials. Sounds like fun!
and I subscribed!
Adoption as been something that is very close to my heart. I have been a huge supporter and advocate of it for the past 4 1/2 years now. So thankyou so much for introducing me to this site! I love the products and tees that Worth the Wait sales. I think it is great that they creatd a place for other adoptive parents to go and find products to help them through the adoption process. And wonderful that they donated maternity jeans to Lifetime Adoption Foundation. It shows that they are thinking of the birhtmothers also!
thanks for a great review and giveaway!

Prior to the adoption they both kept a blessing ring with them to remind them that it would happen eventually. So sweet!

They adopted a little boy, who was "worth the wait". Last year, they donated 30 pairs of maternity jeans to Lifetime Adoption Foundation.
Ten percent of their sales go to adoption-related organizations, and last year, they sent over 30 pairs of maternity jeans to Lifetime Adoption Foundation (a non-profit charity that supports building families and futures).

When I read this
" It was hard sometimes to keep the Faith that we would be parents. So we each kept a Blessing Ring in our wallets as a token to remind us that it WOULD eventually happen" It put a huge smile on my face.
All is possible with GOD!!!
