One Step Ahead Sun Smarties Family Beach Cabana Tent Review and Giveaway!

Since moving to Florida, we've struggled with finding the perfect balance of the super strong sun and the shade. We've used those fold out chairs with attached umbrellas, giant beach umbrellas and our towels, and running under the shelters at local beaches after baring the blazing sun, but nothing has truly been easy to use, assemble, or stay up as the Family Beach Cabana Tent from ONE STEP AHEAD.

Our family had the opportunity to try this product over the weekend, and I can definitely say that we will be getting a lot of use out of it this summer! It carries in a lightweight backpack style carrier, and unfolds literally, in three seconds. The anchors are easy to use, and if you want the added security that your tent isn't going to fly away, the side pockets can be filled with sand to weigh it down. The Family Beach Cabana Tent offers a UPF 50+ rating, so you and your family are protected from the suns harmful rays. There is no floor on this tent, so you still need to bring your beach blanket, but the kids loved that they could sit in the shade, and still have fun with the sand.

The sides have "windows" in them to allow plenty of ventilation, and then can be covered again, so you can have privacy to change diapers, or your child's wet clothes. It cleans up very nicely, and sand seems to fall right off. The zipper pocket on the carrier is perfect to store the spikes and the flag ensemble. (I will be honest, we did not use the flag on our outing.) The size of this cabana is great, we were able to fit under it without it feeling cramped or crowded, and the kids had such a blast going in and out, and hanging out in it!

Folding it back down was tricky for me.. but I typically have issues with the pop up play things we own. (In fact, my husband loves to tease me about it all the time!) I tried using the illustrations on the sewn in instruction guide, but I didn't find it very helpful. However, after watching the short video on the One Step Ahead web site, I was able to fold it up without any issues!
