Tide Stain Release & Bounce Dryer Bar -Back to School Laundry Duo Review and Giveaway!

Back to school means more outfits on the floor in your daughters room, because she couldn't make up her mind. It means ketchup or saucy stains on the sleeve of your kindergartner's sleeve because he forgot to ask for a napkin.

This year, Tide and Bounce are coming together to offer you the best Laundry Duo Review and Giveaway on 4BabyAndMom!

We recently had the opportunity to try the new Tide Stain Release In-Wash Booster and Bounce Dryer Bar. I love Tide, so I was looking very forward to the stain release tabs, but I was a little apprehensive to try out the Bounce Dryer Bar.

Alex, Abbie & I are all *very* sensitive to smells and have pretty sensitive skin. Call me a creature of habit, but I've used the same detergent and fabric softener for forever now, but I decided to give it a whirl. The first load of laundry that I washed using both products was on Brian's work clothes. His work uniform consists of a navy blue logo shirt and a pair of khaki pants. He crawls through attics, and on new construction, so the legs of his pants are always atrocious.

The Tide Stain Release tabs are made as booster tabs to add in with your regular detergent to break down stains and remove them from your colors or white clothes. I figured Brian's load would definitely be the load to try it on, and added it to the washer.

The directions on the Bounce Dryer Bar are simple enough. Peel off the sticker on the white bar holder, and stick to the drum of your dryer. I realized that the bar holder stays on the dryer, and the bar itself is replaceable, and removable-- BIG positive for me, in case one of us should have a reaction to the scent or product itself. Plus, I think, the normal fabric softener we usually use is a Procter & Gamble product, so maybe it will work for us.

Brian's work clothes come out clean as a whistle, and smell very fresh. I tried it on a load of mixed colored clothes of Alex's, Abbie's and mine next. Ketchup, grass stains and grease came right out without pre-treating! Neither of us had a reaction to the Bounce Bar, and now I am completely hooked on both of the fabulous products!

The last container of Tide I purchased happened to have a yellow cap on it, which is how I found out about the Tide Loads of Hope Project. If you're not familiar with it, I strongly urge you to click the link and read all about the awesome work that Tide has done in communities affected by disasters. In September of 2008, 1088 loads of laundry were cleaned over the period of six days after Hurricane Gustav in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. For each bottle of Tide that you purchase with a yellow cap, ten cents gets donated to this fund.

  1. I learned that by purchasing yellow cap Tide, a portion of the proceeds goes to help support for families affected by disasters. 1,088 loads of laundry were cleaned over the course of 6 days after Hurricane Gustav in 2008.
I learned that you can use Bounce Dryer sheets to get up scuff marks off the floor and to clean window screens.
Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway, these look like great new products I would love to and and need to try!

  2. I love doing laundry because it gives me a sense of accomplishment.
I hate doing laundry because the worst task is putting it all away.
These products would be great for me because I have two little girls and a hard working hubby and sometimes no matter how much I spray their clothes, the stains set in and I can't get them out. The Dryer Bar would be great because it would save money and I wouldn't have to always remember to put the sheets in! Thanks again!

  15. I love the Stain Solution thing they have where you can pick what kind of stain, on what type of fabric, color or white, etc and it will tell you how to treat. For example I searched for how to treat "Blood Stain on Cotton
All White, has no color that can be damaged"

    Very useful.

    Thanks so much!

  20. I learned that New Tide Stain Release helps remove tough stains the 1st time and that you can request a $1.50 off coupon.

I learned that all you have to do with the New Bounce Dryer Bar is stick it in your dryer and forget about it for 2-4 months which would save on buying the sheets which I currently use.

    Great giveaway..thanks

  21. The hate it when I have presoaked an item of clothing to try and get rid of a mustard or ketchup stain to find out its still there when I'm ready to toss it in the dryer. I have been a Tide & Bounce user for 35 years but have never tried the New Tide Stain Release or the New Bounce Dryer Bar. These products would save me re washing alot of my clothes because the stains would be removed the first time and adding additional dryer sheets when I can just put the bar in and forget about it. When you have 6 people living in your home, 3 of which are teenage girls, laundry is done a few times a day each day. Its neverending LOL

  64. I learned that Tide has a cleaner for washing machines that will remove an odor or keep one from developing. Their FAQ suggests that we leave the door slightly open on an empty machine so they can air out properly. That's a tricky safety issue with small kids and the frontloading doors.

  66. I do hate the hot muggy summers where if you leave a load sitting in the washer, they can develop a musty/moldy smell. I would be interested in trying the Tide Washer Cleaner product to see if it would help. With swimming towels accumulating, I like to leave them in the laundry room when we come in. That isn't enough for a full load so its a situation just waiting for me to be sidetracked getting the load going. Maybe proactively keeping the washer cleaner would help.

  134. What I hate about laundry is muddy clothes. My teenage son loves nothing more than driving the four wheeler in the mud. This would really help my laundry problem.

  140. I didn't know that Tide makes a Washing Machine Cleaner. My HE washing machine really stinks, bad enough that I'd love to get rid of it. I may try this first.

  141. I really don't like folding socks when doing laundry. Many times there's so much static, they stick together. Maybe the Bounce dryer ball would help combat that.

  166. Probably something I should have known, but it never occurred to me that Tide has the Good Housekeeping seal of approval!

  167. I am not a huge fan of doing laundry, but I do love that warm feeling when clothes are freshly out of the dryer! These products would be great - especially the stain removal - my children always have food stains & other outdoor stains on their clothes!
