Clorox Green Works Natural Detergent and Stain Remover Review

How many of you hate laundry? **Waves hand furiously from my work desk** I complain about laundry more than any other household chore, and cannot wait for the day that I have a machine big enough to keep up with my family. I am always on the quest for products that make my most hated task easier, quicker, or more pleasant.

I decided to try the Stain Remover on Brian's work pants, as the knees get filthy every single day. I sprayed his pants, threw the load in, added the detergent, and walked away. I then read the bottle, and the directions say to start the washer first, add the detergent, then the clothing.. Oops. I hoped for the best, and let the machine continue.

The clothes came out fresh smelling, and after they emerged from the dryer I noticed that the colors were still vibrant, and the stains were gone. Needless to say, I was very impressed at the quality of the cleaners combined. (Another big plus!) All in all, I must say that I am very impressed with the results I've had so far using this detergent and stain remover.

Tide Stain Release & Bounce Dryer Bar -Back to School Laundry Duo Review and Giveaway!

Alex, Abbie & I are all *very* sensitive to smells and have pretty sensitive skin. The first load of laundry that I washed using both products was on Brian's work clothes. His work uniform consists of a navy blue logo shirt and a pair of khaki pants. He crawls through attics, and on new construction, so the legs of his pants are always atrocious.

The Tide Stain Release tabs are made as booster tabs to add in with your regular detergent to break down stains and remove them from your colors or white clothes. I figured Brian's load would definitely be the load to try it on, and added it to the washer.

The directions on the Bounce Dryer Bar are simple enough. Peel off the sticker on the white bar holder, and stick to the drum of your dryer. I realized that the bar holder stays on the dryer, and the bar itself is replaceable, and removable-- BIG positive for me, in case one of us should have a reaction to the scent or product itself. Plus, I think, the normal fabric softener we usually use is a Procter & Gamble product, so maybe it will work for us.

Brian's work clothes come out clean as a whistle, and smell very fresh. I tried it on a load of mixed colored clothes of Alex's, Abbie's and mine next. Ketchup, grass stains and grease came right out without pre-treating! Neither of us had a reaction to the Bounce Bar, and now I am completely hooked on both of the fabulous products!

The last container of Tide I purchased happened to have a yellow cap on it, which is how I found out about the Tide Loads of Hope Project. Guests + Dish Soap + Dishwasher= Holy Suds Batman!

Nothing's better than friends and food and a nice, relaxing night together.

Last night friends of ours stopped by on their way through town, and camped in our back yard. We had a BBQ, and hung out until pretty late. Instead of throwing the dishes in the dishwasher like we normally do, we just put them in the sink, and figured we'd tackle it today.

So while I brought Alex to school this morning, our friends loaded our dishwasher for us, to thank us for being so hospitable.

I came home and as it started and a few minutes later, as our friend was getting out of the shower, I hear, "Uh, Lauren, do you have a mop???"

I walk into the kitchen, and it looks like Old Man Winter dumped about a foot of snow into my kitchen. I knew it definitely wasn't snow, then I realized- there were suds EVERYWHERE!! It was POURING out of the sides and front of my dishwasher- I've never seen anything like it before! Turns out, instead of grabbing the dishwasher soap, they grabbed the dish detergent by accident!

My kitchen floor looks really clean right now, but you had to see me scooping up arm-fulls of soapy foam. I remember reading somewhere that table salt dissolved suds.. so I dumped some salt in the bottom of the dishwasher, pressed resume and hopped online to see if I could find any more information. I found that many people said that 3-4 loads later their dishwasher was still spewing arm loads of suds! I kept reading, and one site said to use vinegar.. so I figured I'd try that too. I dumped the remainder of the bottle of vinegar I use to clean the floors and counters into the bottom of the dishwasher, and hoped for the best. I switched the load to "light" and placed towels around the floor to soak up the rest of the suds, and waited. After that load finished, I put it on it's second run through (with no added soap!) and so far so good!

So should this ever happen to you or someone you know, tell them to add salt to their suds, press resume, then add vinegar and let it run it's shortest cycle. Then do it again and they should be fine.
