Crayola Chuck Taylors=A Dream Come True + $150 Giveaway! Ends 8/25

Back to school shoe shopping has been the bane of my existence recently. My daughter, who is nine, has some fashion ideas of her own this year and has been whining all summer. You see, she wanted Converse High Tops—but not just any high top. She wanted the ones that go all the way up to your knee. I told her that her father would never allow her to wear knee high sneakers, and certainly not for school. She insisted that they were all she wanted. She asked her father for high tops and he said, ”Sure, every kid should have a pair of All-Stars.” She then got very excited yelling to me that “Daddy said yes!” Well played, daughter of mine!
He got “ the look” as I sent him a picture of the shoes she wanted. After a look at them,he said absolutely not! “I thought she wanted a standard pair of high tops!” She was once again devastated. She even drew me a picture with a note the begged for them. I was not budging though, as those high tops were just a bit too high for my 9 year old.
Then, the greatest thing happened! We received a pair of Crayola Converse All Star’s (Chuck Taylors!) to review from Kid’s Foot Locker! I cannot begin to thank them enough! Not only did they save me from another argument with my daughter, but they also supplied me with a fantastic pair of kicks to kick off the school year.
The Crayola line of shoes by Converse is super cute! The Crayola crayon trademark is all over the shoes, but is also very subtle! Her pair are yellow, and just like a crayon—it says so on the bottom. The shoes come with a fold-able layer that changes to grey for a new look. I have always been a fan of Converse sneakers; I grew up wearing All-Stars in every color and am glad to be passing the tradition to my children. My daughter fell completely in love with her YELLOW (her favorite color) high tops and proclaimed they were, “Just what she always wanted!” She loves that they have Crayola details and thinks they are, “So AWESOME!” The shoes are made extremely well and are very comfortable. Mia is very excited to start the new year with them.
Thank you again Kids Foot Locker for the opportunity to review these fabulous sneakers, but also for saving me from the tantrums of a nine year old.
In celebration of Back to School our friends at Kids Foot Locker are giving us $150 in gift cards to giveaway to ONE lucky reader! Kids Foot Locker Gift Cards can be redeemed online, or in any Foot Locker brand store. This is a great opportunity to get sneakers for the whole family, or at least put a dent in it!

Sparkle Faux's: Save some Money on Shoes this Fall

Back-To-School time is expensive enough without having to figure in the trendiest accessories of the season. My daughter is 7, and like most girls her age, she's head over heels for Sketcher's shoes. Last year, she had to have HyDee High-Tops! She finally wore me down; after she brought home a great report card, I bought her a pair of these high dollar high tops as a reward. Of course, she did what every kid does when you buy them some expensive new duds--outgrew them in the blink of an eye. Farewell, $49.99 shoes.

When school shopping commenced this year, I was informed by my daughter that the new "it" shoe from Sketcher's was the "Twinkle Toes" and she HAD to have a pair. These shoes are adorable; they are covered in every kind of bling imaginable. I understand her want--if I could get away with wearing them, I would! But after the high top fiasco, I can't see myself spending that kind of money on a fashion shoe knowing she's going to outgrow them the moment I shell out the money. (These shoes run between $39.99-$54.99)

I had an epiphany while looking at these in the store--I can make these! (or something close enough to be acceptable to my daughter!) I have acrylic paints, buttons, and brushes in my craft box!! So, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a pair of $3 plain blue sneakers and went to town!

I painted random things like peace signs, arts, and rainbows, with acrylic paints and outlined with a colored Sharpie marker. Then I applied glitter stars and button hearts using fabric glue. They turned out adorable and my daughter LOVES them. All of her friends think they are adorable too!

So, if you're little dolls want some "Twinkle Toes", and you're crafty, why not make some "Sparkle Fauxs" and save a few bucks? :)

'Tots in Dots' Review and Giveaway!

As you can see from the pic to the right, Abbie's hair is starting to grow back in from earlier this summer, when she and Alex decided it would be fun to cut her hair. This summer she's been living in waffle styled head bands, because they hid the short hairs on the top of her head better than plastic head bands and pony holders did. She often looked like a little ragga muffin, because her hair was all uneven, but at least it looked cuter than leaving it wild and unruly.

I love hair accessories. Big, fluffy waffle headbands with embellishments are my current addiction. Earlier this month, Tots in Dots Boutique sent this adorable orange headband for us to sample, as well as a sweet crocheted cap, perfect for this autumn.

The quality of these products were very high, the ribbons on the headband were perfect! Shimmery and even, it did not look handmade! Whenever Abbigaile wears this headband, tons of people comment on how adorable she looks. We have this funky retro printed dress that has hues of orange in it, and I cannot wait to put her in it with this headband!

Tots in Dots Boutique offers a very large selection of handmade crocheted hats, ribbons, clippies, headbands, ponytail holders, beaded socks and more. Although their specialty seems to be girls accessories, they do offer some pretty adorable boys accessories as well, like the Navy Visor Cap pictured to the left, here.

Want it?
Click on the button on the right hand side bar to bring you to the Tots in Dots Boutique. Find your favorite items, and be sure to let them know that you heard about them on 4BabyAndMom!

Back to School with Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids! Review and Giveaway

Preparing for back to school in my family means making leftovers for lunch for myself and Abbie, healthy snack choices, and slicing fruit so it's ready to go as I'm packing lunchboxes and running out the door.

We were recently able to review the new Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids Food Storage Containers.

My plastic container cabinet looks like "who did it and ran". There's got to be about 20 different containers, and only about 7 lids, but oddly enough, none of those 7 match any of the individual containers! I hate digging through that cupboard, and every time I do, I end up aggravated and discouraged.

The Easy Find Lids collection is the solution to my annoying problem. The lids snap onto the bottom of the containers, which puts and end to searching through the depths of the cupboard a thing of the past! The Rubbermaid Lock-Its have four locking tabs to ensure a secure seal. (In my opinion, perfect for shoving in a backpack, lunch box, or baby bag!!) The Premier Collection is odor and stain resistant to stay clear for life. The shatterproof thicker plastic is microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe.

My big test was for the green produce saver containers. We go through fruit very quickly in our house, because we can never keep it long enough. The Fresh Vent allows produce to breathe, and the lower Crisp Tray separates produce from the moisture on the bottom of the container. The lids and trays snap together and to the base for easy storage, which eliminates wasted time hunting for missing lids or pieces. It did increase the longevity of our produce, so over all I was very happy.

I get to put it to another test with apples on Monday.

Want it?
Check out the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids containers online, and print our your coupon for $1 off now!

Make Lunch More Eco-Friendly with Reusable Sandwich and Snack Bags! Review And Giveaway!

I am not a frunchy mama. I aspire to live a greener, healthier life with my children, and keep everything in balance. We recycle when we can, and use reusable bags at the grocery store, and we have cut back on the cleaning supplies with harmful chemicals in them drastically in the last two years. Those little steps find me closer to my goals of making a better living environment inside and outside of my home for my children.

While preparing for back to school, (and cruising through Etsy!), I happened to find this great little shop called Fray Baby Bibs & More. They have such a great selection of handmade, reusable lunch baggies, purses, totes, pencil cases, feeding and burping accessories for baby, scarves, toys and more! All of the prints are fresh, modern, trendy, and fashionable. Whether you're looking for baby, children or mom herself, you'll find something that will delight every taste and budget. We had the opportunity to review three reusable bags this month, the snack sized bag, the velcro closure lunch bag, and the flip top lunch bag. These reusable bags are functional for carrying food, waterproof and anti-microbial. The patterns and styles available will appease to preschoolers and high schoolers alike. To clean the bags, just flip them inside out and wipe clean or throw them in the washing machine. All of the bags are machine washable and dryer safe.

I love the the velcro and the flip and fold sandwich bags! The velcro closure was much easier for Alex to figure out how to open, but after I showed him what to do for the flip top one, he quickly became a pro. For Flip and Fold instructions, feel free to view the tutorial here.

He's super excited about his "Real-Life-SUPER-HEROES" sandwich bag.. (see the pic to the left!), and can't wait to bring it to school to show his new friends.

The snack sized bag that we received was a flip top style. It was great, but with little hands, it made opening it a little more difficult. The first time Alex tried, he got grapes everywhere. However, the snack sized bags are also available with the velcro closure, so the little kids can have their snacks too. The flip top snack bag would be ideal for older elementary school kids and middle school aged children. If I worked outside of my home, I would definitely invest in these reusable bags as well.

..Maybe I'm becoming a more frunchier mama as we speak!

Receive 50 Free Prints from Multiply!

Do you want to see something cute?
This was Alex on his first day of preschool.

It's so hard to believe that this picture was taken almost two years ago, but indeed, it's been two whole years! I'm a photography junkie, and really enjoy taking photographs of everyone and everything. In a world where photography is mainly digital, I must admit, although I've taken more pictures over the years, the amount that I've had printed is not as much. I did get make a couple of scrapbooks and have them printed out, but even that was much more scarce than my old school scrapbooking days.

I'm a little bummed right now. As I was searching for some pictures and files to use for this review, I happened to find out that ALL of my son's Kindergarten pictures were never uploaded to a sharing site that I use.. In fact, I am 99% positive that they were on our desktop before the PC crashed and got infected in January. (If they're still there, I have no idea.. a friend of ours had tried wiping the hard drive to strip the virus.) So I need you all to cross your fingers, say a little prayer, or do a dance to whatever you might believe in, that this weekend we set the old, piece of junk up and find an entire folder on our desktop. ...But I digress...

I recently found out about a website called Multiply. Multiply makes it easy to create, share and discuss your blog, photos, and videos with more of the people you know, and fewer of the people you don't. When you sign up, you can upload your photos and videos directly from your computer AND directly from many popular sites that you've tried before.. Whether you've used Shutterfly or Photobucket, just type in your user info, and select the pictures you'd like to port over, and voila!

This feature was super huge for me, as my website of preference was Shutterfly. If Shutterfly ever crashed, I'd need heavy sedation. Seriously- my whole life is in folders and albums from my wedding, to the very first digial pictures I took of our son almost 7 years ago... until now.

I've ported over my photos from Shutterfly, (and a handful from Photobucket), and uploaded some new pics from this summer. After Alex goes back to school next week, I am planning on creating and ordering one of the Mulitply Photobooks. Right now, all photo products are on sale for 25% off, which is a great opportunity for all of you early planners that would like to start getting things together for Grandma & Grandpa's holiday gift.

Ok, so I must be honest with you all. I am a creature of habit, and when I find something that works for me, I usually stick to it. Multiply offers a ton of fabulous features that no other website offers all together in one place. After the intial sign up, I was a little over-whelmed! Where to begin, what to do, yeah, there's a tutorial, but holy moly!

I'm very glad I gave it a chance, because like I said, the features Multiply offers to their customers is absolutely awesome. Seriously, you can Import from YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe, Photobucket, Facebook, or MySpace, import your pictures from Snapfish, Picasa, Flickr, Kodak Easy Share, and you can even import your blog!

Everything that you need is just at a click of a button, which really allows your friends and family to stay in the loop. I know when I started blogging, years ago, it was just journaling our move from NY to Florida, and our adaptation to the heat. I literally had a handful of people that followed me, and they were all my friends and family back up north. Multiply is a social media outlet mixed with subperb photo & video organizing, in English, it's the only site you'll need for keeping your media in order! Friends and family can leave you comments on your guestbook, you can share your albums, what more do you need??

How about free prints?
Our friends at Multiply have offered ALL of our readers 50 Free Prints!!! Just use the coupon code 50BABYMOM before the 31st of August!!

Funky Monkey Fruit Snacks Review and Giveaway!

"All natural, 100% real fruit, organic, no sugar added, 3 servings of fruit in every ounce of Funky Monkey Snacks" are all of the key phrases that caught my attention while searching for healthier snack options for my children.

I found it hard to believe that there really was a snack on the market that was made of *just* fruit that satisfied the urge to crunch. I was truly expecting more of a chewy fruit, like that in trail mix. When we received our samples of Funky Monkey Snacks, I was excited to tote them with us to VBS and to the beach. They never made it to either, because the kids raided the bags completely!

We ended up opening the Bananamon and Purple Funk bags first. The Bananamon is a curious combination of freeze dried bananas and cinnamon. The Purple Funk snacks are organic bananas with acai berries. Although both packages were primarily bananas, they were two totally different experiences!

The next day we opened the Carnaval Mix and the Jivealime bags. The Carnaval Mix contains organic bananas, pineapple, raisins, papaya and apple. It was very sweet and refreshing, and the kids loved the variety of flavors, shapes and colors. The Jivealime snacks are freeze dried organic pineapple slices and pieces, with lime juice. Definitley an interesting combination that I liked a little bit more than the kids did. The kids chose the Bananamon and Carnaval Mix as their favorites, while I preferred the Purple Funk and Jivealime flavors instead.

Back to School with Carolina Pad $50 Giveaway!

Shopping for notebooks and supplies this year, I realized that the designs came a LONG way from when I was in school. When I was a senior, I remember that trendy, funky patterns has just started to hit the market, but it was still just as cool to have your solid colored notebook you could doodle on. Among the most delightful of designs I discovered were those made by Carolina Pad.

Carolina Pad products are stylish and functional, affordable and practical.

From the company:

How It All Started: The Carolina Pad story begins in 1945 in Charlotte, North Carolina. That’s when Joseph K. Hall Jr. and several business associates managed to scrape up enough money and equipment to start up a school supply manufacturing company. Joe had been operating Hall & Morris, a school supply wholesale business in Belmont, North Carolina. The new company offered composition books, notebook paper, primary tablets, pencils, crayons, and other school supplies. A former teacher, principal, and coach, Joe was excited by the new company’s offerings. Carolina Pad continued to sell school supplies in the market formerly serviced by Hall & Morris. But since it was now in the manufacturing business, Carolina Pad had more products to sell. So to get an edge over larger, more established counterparts, Joe sold products directly to schools in the Carolinas and Virginia — often out of the back of his truck! Joe Retires the Truck By selling notebooks with more sheets at a lower price than his competitors, Carolina Pad was able to get a foothold in the market. Over the next few decades, Joe’s philosophy of quality and value placed Carolina Pad on the road to success. Though the company hit a few speed bumps along the way, the days of selling products out of the back of Joe’s truck were over. Thanks to brands like Fatboy, Carolina Pad grew beyond a regional company and began selling school supplies at a national level.
Carolina Pad's stylish office supplies and back to school products can now be found on the shelves of Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens and Staples, and is also available to purchase online. The new Sasquatch Brand from Carolina Pad are eco-friendly products perfect for the environmentalist fashionista.

See Kai Run Review and Giveaway!

The new fall line of See Kai Run is available now, and the new Jaewon sneakers showed up on our doorstep just about a week ago!

Abbie was ecstatic to receive her new shoes, and was super excited to wear her new back to school sockies as well! (Living in Florida, during the summer, we all live in flip flops.)

The last time we reviewed See Kai Run, we got to try the adorable peek toe Jennae shoes, and I was extremely happy with the quality of those shoes. It was my first experience with See Kai Run, and I fell instantaneously in love with their quality products!

The new line of shoes are just as adorable, and just as superbly made. The leather is incredibly soft, with a sturdy, yet flexible sole- perfect for growing feet.

The Jaewon sneaker shoes pictured above are made with mock laces and a velcro closure, which makes putting them on and removing them easy for little hands, without the frustrations of laces.

Preparing for preschool can be difficult enough on our little ones, so this year invest in a beautiful pair of See Kai Run sneakers or shoes for your little man or lady, and make getting out the door easy, fun and fashionable!

BudgetGadgets.com Review

With back to school just a couple of days away, we are starting to prepare all of the tedious final touches. Everything is packed and ready to go and thanks to BudgetGadgets.com all of our pencils are freshly sharpened and lined perfectly in Alex's pencil box.

We recently received an iSharpener, usb port pencil sharpener to review from BudgetGadgets.com.

The prices on BudgetGadgets are absolutely unbeatable. The quality of the product was very good. Alex loved the fact that it had flashing lights as it sharpened the pencils. I loved the fact that the shavings were kept nicely away, and the compartment was super easy to access and dump. Because it plugs into your usb port, it makes it great for travel, or for your desk.

WordLock Padlock Review and Giveaway!

From the company:

Offering 100,000 word and letter combinations, the secure Wordlock® padlock is easy to read, easy to set, and makes it possible to have an easy to remember personal word combination.

Of all the anxieties that students face on a daily basis, having to remember the combination to their locker is one that could easily be alleviated. Whether in the hallway or at the gym, it’s a small step that can help students gain a much needed degree of added comfort and security.

According to research conducted by the National Council of Middle Schools, the biggest fear of new students is forgetting their locker combination. Google “locker combination anxiety” and you will see numerous references to recurring nightmares from high school days on the same.

Wordlock padlocks are available in a variety of colors. Wordlock also offers their unforgettable word-based personal combinations on luggage locks, bike locks and cable locks. Wordlock products are sold at Target, Sears, Kmart, Ace Hardware, True Value and Walgreens nationwide, and also through leading on-line retailers.

We recently had the opportunity to sample a WordLock Padlock. Unique, and extremely easy to use, I was definitely impressed with the functionality of WordLock Padlocks. Setting the 4 or 5 letter word is simple, and makes 'breaking into' extremely difficult, (and rather frustrating!!). Plus, using a word as the combination instead of the standard number combos makes accessing your belongings super quick and easy.

The latch itself is wider than a traditional combination lock, which makes it very versatile. Everyone that sees it loves it, and wants to try to crack the code. With the large amount of possibilities, if someone happens to finds out the combination, switching the WordLock combination is just a coin turn away.

Locking your locker, bike, or fridge (yes, we've actually used it for that as well!) has never been easier!

SinuCleanse Kids Mist Giveaway!

As kids get ready to return to school, concerns are high for the potential of cold and flu outbreaks.

Recent coverage has reported the challenges that the H1N1 virus created for camps this summer and some experts believe the outbreaks are a harbinger of what could occur as schools open. Compounding the potential for congestion and sinus pain associated with colds and flu is the traditional fall allergy season, which impacts some six million children.

So in addition to backpacks, pens, calculators and laptops, parents this back to school season also have flu and allergy treatments on their list, but with pediatric OTC cold medications having been voluntarily recalled last year and continuing concerns about other traditional OTC treatments, options may seem to be limited.

One safe, natural and effective alternative for treatment of congestion and sinus pain for parents to consider is nasal irrigation with a saline solution like SinuCleanse Kids Mist.

While it cannot prevent infection from a flu virus, nasal irrigation has proven to be effective in treating cold and flu symptoms as well as stopping the recurrence of colds and flu. It has also been shown to help reduce the dependency upon medication for treatment of allergies. Nasal irrigation helps facilitate removal of mucous by thinning it and also helps flush allergens from nasal passages.

According to one study published in the American Academy of Pediatrics medical journal, AAP Grand Rounds (“Isotonic Nasal Saline Is Beneficial in the Management of Rhinitis in Children”; 20:17-18, 2008), nasal saline wash hastens the resolution of rhinitis symptoms during uncomplicated acute cold or flu and prevents reappearance of rhinitis In children aged 6 to 10 years old.

While the traditional method of nasal irrigation with a neti pot or squeeze bottle may not be practical with young children, SinuCleanse®, the nation’s leading manufacturer of neti pots, has developed Kids Mist™ specifically for use with infants and young children. Kids Mist features an easy-to-aim nozzle that does not need to be inserted into the nostril and that dispenses a fine mist of a pre-measured dose of saline solution.

Want it?
SinuCleanse® Kids Mist™ (SRP $14.99) includes a three week supply of saline solution and is available at Walgreens or online at www.sinucleanse.com.

WIN IT!
Our friends at SinuCleanse have offered one lucky reader their chance to win a SinuCleanse® Kids Mist™ for their family just in time for back to school!

Here's How:
Visit SinuCleanse and get to know the company. Come back here and tell me an interesting fact from their website. Please be specific, and try to be unique.

Tic♥Tac♥Dough Review and Giveaway!

Back to school lists seem to grow every year. This year one of the requested supplies for many preschool and kindergarten classes is playing dough. Playing dough improves fine motor skills, increases imaginative play, and is great for children of all ages.

If you’ve been reading 4BabyAndMom for awhile, you know that I love Etsy sellers. I appreciate a fine product created by hand from parents and skilled crafters. I love creating a buzz about a fun or exciting Etsy company any time I can. (If you missed the ‘a picket fence life’ review, be sure to click HERE & check it out!)

While searching for more traditional back to school products to review and give away during our bash, I happened to stumble upon the Etsy company called Tic♥Tac♥Dough.Tic♥Tac♥Dough was created by a work-at-home mom of two, with natural ingredients, and plenty of love! It is available in two different formulas, including gluten free, and many different scents and colors, which makes play time great for kids of all ages.

Recently, we were able to review a 6oz. tub of Sweet Orange scented Tic♥Tac♥Dough and I can tell you that both of the kids absolutely loved it! (My horrible mommy confession is that even though Abbigaile’s artsy personality would enjoy it, she’s only played with playing dough a handful of times before we received our sample.)

The first day we received our tub of Tic♥Tac♥Dough, Abbie played with it for about two hours straight! She made houses, and people, and flowers. She rolled it, and flattened it, and used the included duck shaped cutter to make “duckies” out of dough. She had such a blast! The next day, Alex got to play too, and the two of them shared the tub very well. I was impressed that the quantity of the dough was enough for both of them to play together very well. There was no bickering over who had more, or who didn’t have enough… and they laughed, giggled, pounded, and rolled together.

Want it?
Visit our friends at Tic♥Tac♥Dough and check out their large selection of colors and packages. Order one tub, or a three month subscription, where you pick the colors, and your child gets one fresh, new tub in the mail every month!

Win it!
Our friends at Tic♥Tac♥Dough have offered one lucky winner their chance to win TWO tubs of playing dough, plus a fun shape cutter!

Back to College for Moms & Teens! Verseo ePen Permanent Hair Removal System Giveaway!

Many of my girlfriends decided that now that their second child is heading into Kindergarten, that this year they would take advantage of their empty nest, and head back to school.

Getting ready to go back to college, is definitely intimidating after you've been out for awhile. You want to make sure you have plenty of new outfits, and that your hair is colored in the best combination for your bronzed summer skin, and oh, yes, the last thing right before you start.. Waxing.

You tackle those caterpillars above your eyes, and other unsightly facial or body hair right before school starts because you don't want those little pesky hairs to start growing back on the second day of school. I feel your pain!

I've thought about electrolysis, but the treatments are way out of my budget, and tweezing is just too painful!

Verseo makes this amazing little tool, that I personally feel every woman with hair that needs to own! It's called the Verseo ePen Permanent Hair Removal System. This is an affordable, at-home electrolysis system that really works!

The website claims to "remove unwanted hair without pain or needles. This hair removal system is clinically proven to remove hair permanently. Developed in Europe, the ePen features a patented galvanic technology for electrolysis at home. This technology is almost identical to what is used during professional electrolysis. It's safe and completely painless."

(Ok, let me stop a second.. I'm Spanish, Puerto Rican, Czech, and German.. Yes, I'm a mutt, but HOLY HAIRY WOMAN, BATMAN!, is my point.) I had to try this product!

The instruction manual says that you may see results in as few as a couple of weeks, but to adhere to the schedule and that by 9 weeks, you'll see dramatic results. (I was going to give you before and after pictures, but I totally chickened out.) The kit contains easy to apply pads for your face or body, and claims to be pain free. It comes with the conductive gel, and swabs, as well as tweezers. The power supply to the ePen is from two AA batteries, and is controlled by the push of a button. The head angles to make controlling the ePen easier, and the process is supposed to be super quick.

The important questions:
Does it really work? I have super thick, coarse hair, everywhere. From my eyebrows, to my sideburns, to my legs- it's everywhere. I did not notice results early, and had to continually use it to see any type of result.. now that I've been using it consistently for over a month, I can definitely say that the amount of hair that usually grows in after a waxing treatment has dropped by about a half! I anticipate that it will take a little longer than the package recommends, but I'm telling you- I have crazy hair!

Does it hurt? I have sensitive skin. Did it burn like the chemical reaction I had when I tried lotion style hair removal- NO. Did it not hurt at all, no. It was like little teeny spidery shocks, that I only felt sometimes. The instruction manual says it's because there was not enough conduction gel or that if I was using the pads they were not on properly. They were on, and I applied more gel when I was using just the pen, but seldom found a major difference. You are supposed to pluck after your treatment, and well, of course that stings a little.

How long does it take? Depending on the area that you are treating, or the method (by ePen or by face or body pads?) the amount of time varies in seconds. Yes, it is super quick, and there's even a self timer in the unit, so you don't need to pay attention to when 20 seconds is up!

Do the batteries die quickly? Honestly, I am very impressed with the amount of time the batteries last with the ePen. The original set of batteries lasted about 4 weeks before I noticed them not being as effective. I replaced it with two juicy, new name brand ones, and it's even better than where we started.

With my sensitive skin, I was anticipating some sort of a reaction to either the conductive gel, or the product itself, but I must say, I was am definitely impressed. The first week or two is totally intimidating, but as long as you press through, you will definitely notice a difference. With an unconditional satisfaction guarentee, it's definitely worth a try!

The only "cons" that I found with this product is that the absorbent tip (think the head of a q-tip) sucks up the gel very quickly. As long as you apply a lot of gel, you should be fine. The directions also say that you should try to cut or shave down your unwanted hairs as short as you can to use the Verseo ePen successfully, and then after treatment, pluck the individual hairs out that you treated.

The only way that I could do that is if I just waited until the hairs started growing back, treat them, then pluck. I will admit that I *hate* plucking, (uh, hello, self induced pain- not my cup of tea), and some times I plucked, and sometimes I didn't. The plucked ones do disappear quicker.. but eventually the non-plucked ones do come out. If you can handle plucking- rock on- you should have no problems!

The Verseo ePen, home electrolysis pen is the perfect tool for any woman that shaves her legs, gets her eyebrows done, or is self conscious about unwanted hairs. I would recommend this product for older teenage girls, college students, and moms as well, as you do need to be diligent about keeping up with it, or you'll never see results.

Want it?
Buy health and beauty products direct from Verseo, including the ePen reviewed above as well as ceramic hair straighteners, detox & cleanse patches, wraps and products, weight loss products and more. Autumn is around the corner... *Ugg Boots Giveaway and Contest to WIN $25*

Shortly after the first day back to school, I distinctly remember the smell of the autumn leaves turning and falling, and the crisp, cool breeze getting chillier and chillier every day on the way to and from the bus stop.

In your back to school shopping, you may have picked up a new pair of sneakers, and tons of clothes (both short sleeves & long), but did you pick up some boots??

Available in Classic Tall, Short and Mini, as well as Elegance and Tall Metallic, these ugg boots are both stylish and functional. The thicker merino sheepskin used in ugg boots cools your toes in summer and warms in winter to produce a supremely comfortable 22 degree constant temperature. Unlike other footwear, ugg boots are made from a natural insulator. Constantly circulating air prevents heat exchange keeping you comfortable regardless of the temperature. Thicker sheepskin means greater insulation, comfort and strength.

Right now, if you copy one of the Whooga Ugg Boots badges and place it on your blog or website sidebar, you can enter to win your very own pair of FREE ugg boots!!

**4BabyAndMom has been challenged!**

We have been challenged to see if we could have at least 40 of our readers enter to win- to which I rebutted and said I could have at least 50 readers respond!

Now I need your help!

If we get at least 50 people to enter- I will giveaway one $25 Gift Card to TARGET, WAL-MART or SEARS!

Here's How to WIN!!
Grab the button & enter to win the ugg boots giveaway, then add the button to your blog or website. (Facebook or myspace accounts do not qualify). Come back here and tell me that you grabbed the button, which store you'd like $25 to shop at, and include the link to your blog or website in your comment.

If 50 people have not grabbed the button by 11:59pm EST, August 31st, the $25 prize will be forfeited, but you'll still be entered into the ugg boots giveaway.

So, tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell your blog roll and address book, and help me beat my goal!
