MAM Baby Products- More Than Just Pacifiers!

With Lauren's new bundle of joy coming soon, we were super blessed to receive an amazing package in the mail from MAM Baby filled with great products from binkies to bottles! Lauren's got no idea what she's having quite yet, (but I do!), so what makes it even better is the selection is an assortment of mixed colors, so it will still be a surprise at her shower.

All of MAM’s pacifiers are designed and developed by pediatric dentists and orthodontists. MAM's attention to detail and work with developmental psychologists have resulted in a wide variety of pacifier sizes that suits baby's various developmental stages. The anatomically correct pacifiers allows for healthy jaw and teeth development and ensure a maximum level of comfort for babies of all ages. (In English, this means that MAM pacifiers are designed to help decrease overbite, and other developmental issues some children face.) MAM offers pacifiers with either a silicone or latex nipple. The patented ultra soft silicone is silicone with a difference! It's silky soft and no other silicone feels softer, and thanks to the anti-slip surface, the pacifier stays in baby's mouth easily.

Both Alex and Abbie had MAM pacifiers, so Lauren is super excited about the great assortment of paci's we received. The itty bitty newborn ones, from 0-6 mos, and from 6 mos+.  MAM makes other interesting products too, aside from binkies and pacifier holders. The MAM Bite and Brush Teether is designed to massage baby's gums and help clean new teeth. It's got soft, gentle bristles, and a design which  makes it easy for little hands to grasp- I could see Lauren's new baby loving this product!

The new MAM Bite & Relax is great to help relieve the discomforts of teething, and helps to reach all the way to the back. The texture helps to soothe sore gums and works like acupressure to relieve pain.

The New MAM Anti-Colic Bottle also looks amazing! Lauren said she used other vented bottles with both of her other kids, because both of them had tummy issues and spit up a lot. I love that it can be sterilized in the microwave- which makes it perfect for busy moms on the go-like Lauren.

I'm excited to actually be able to welcome the new baby into our world this spring. I will make sure Lauren writes a follow-up post after her new little one gives them a try!

Special thanks to our friends at Team Mom and MAM for sending us a box of goodies to review.

Win a $25 Gift Certificate to Daisy Giggles for Baby Shower Favors, Invitations, and more!

When my son was born, the best gift I got was a personalized blanket and matching toy. It happened to be a character that I loved and adored, so it was more than perfect. When Abbigaile was born, I received plenty of blankets, but not one like that, and searched all over the internet for one that was similar. Originally, I wanted it to be the same character, or character family, but couldn't find anything that even resembled it. I gave up, and started looking for something more generic. Everything that I found on the market was super teeny, (think lovey sized) or not as snuggly looking as the one Alex had.

When I was introduced to Daisy Giggles online boutique, (which sells all things for baby!), one of the first things I found was this beautiful "Jo Jo Giraffe" gift set. The blanket measures 3 feet by 30 inches, and the stuffed giraffe stands about 12 inches high. Of all of the items I've found over the past 3 years, this set is the closest to Alex's orignial set.

Our friends at Daisy Giggles have offered a $25 gift certificate for one lucky reader to use towards the purchase of their favorite item or gift. Daisy Giggles carries everything from eco-friendly baby shower favors to keepsakes, dainty invitations, beautiful announcements, diaper cakes and layette sets.

All you have to do is visit Daisy Giggles and find the item you would most likely purchase, and then come back here and tell me all about it.

Moby Wrap review and Giveaway!~Fabulous Fiesta Day #10

When we found out that we were getting NewBaby, I panicked! All of our baby stuff we got rid of three weeks prior in a yard sale, on craigslist and on Ebay. We had decided that if we had another baby we would buy all new things, because it wouldn't be for another couple of years, blah, blah, blah! Thankfully, I have an amazing group of friends, neighbors and family members that helped us out and gave and loaned us everything under the sun a newborn would need. One of my friends offered me her Moby Wrap and I accepted. I had heard such amazing reviews after I had Abbie that I *almost* bought one, but I was afraid that it would be like all the other wraps and carriers I've tried before.

I'm a bigger woman, (height and weight), and my back, since having kids, hasn't been all that great. Most carriers I've used cuts into my shoulders or digs into my love handles, or doesn't redistribute the weight evenly at all! I end up needing a massage from my husband at the end of the day, and barely able to move the next because of the strain on my back. So obviously, you see why I was a little reluctant- but after she showed me how to use it, I became excited!

When I came home, I pulled it out of the box and showed Brian. He was happy that I was so thrilled, but asked if he should buy more massage oil. I wrapped the Moby Wrap around me, and flipped it over my shoulders, finished securing it into place and put the baby in it. Brian looked at me as if I was a kung-fu princess that just did some wild kick-flip-hi-ya thing.. and then looked at the baby and was amazed at how comfy she looked and that she could actually still breathe while in it. He didn't believe me when I told him that I wouldn't be hurting later, in fact I think he said it was "impossible".

At the end of the night, after cooking, putting two kids to bed and sweeping the floor, while wearing NewBaby the whole time, I unwrapped her, laid her in bed and folded my Moby Wrap as I headed into the shower. Bri asked me again how my shoulders and my back felt, and honestly for the first time ever, (after wearing a baby for ANY amount of time), I could say it didn't feel like I wore a baby all night AT ALL.

The weight was evenly distributed, the baby was comfortable and snuggly, I even tried my neighbors 8 month old, just to see if it was different if the baby weighed more than 6 pounds! The Moby Wrap is wide enough that I could comfortably adjust the width of the pieces that laid on my shoulders, and then the little pouch that helps secure the baby is snug enough that you could feel comfortable doing just about anything with the Moby Wrap on!

The next day, I went grocery shopping with Alex and when he walked in the door, he bursted hysterical laughing. "Mommy, you gotta come look at this," he said through giggles. I walked in with all our bags, and my husband was wearing the baby in the Moby Wrap and loading the dishwasher with a big grin on his face. "See, I told you it was awesome!" I told him as I unloaded the groceries. The baby was snuggled and secure, and my husband was actually able to do things without being called away to a coo or goo or "hold me" cry.

We love the Moby Wrap, it really was the best fit for our family! We love it so much that we had to find one to give away to one lucky reader!
