Frankly, I have no idea who said this quote, but this is something that I heard during my entire childhood. From my grandmama's house to my own, it seemed to echo- especially during the holidays. I learned to love to cook by watching my mother and grand mother chop veggies like nothing I've ever seen.. and take ingredients to form a recipe to create these wonderful meals. They would let me help, but "the kitchen is no place for a child" would start shortly after prep was over, and the stove went on.
