Pinypon Is Perfect for your Little Lady

Are you looking for something for your daughter, or a special little girl this holiday season? Be sure to check out Pinypon!

This new product line is sure to have your little lady (ages 4-7) excited and eager to play with on Christmas morning! With fun and funky characters that your child can personalize and play with, their experiences are never ending. We had 8 girls come over and have a playdate with Pinypon. Here's most of their reviews!!

"I love that you can take out their hair clips and pop different ones in." -A.M. age 7

"I like all the fun stuff that they are wearing, and all the colors make them more fun!" -M.H. age 6

"The bus is super cool, I like how everything pops out. I also like that their faces switch." J.S. age 6

"Their hair is really pretty." H.B. age 5

"I like them, a lot. Can I play with the car again?" A.B. age 5

"Some of the pieces are really small, so I'd have to keep them away from my baby brother, but I can still play with them ok. I'd also have to take really good care of them." A.H. age 6

"They're pretty." S.C. age 4

Most of the kids agreed that they were fun, easy to play with, easy to change the look of, and brightly colored meant they were even cooler. They all loved the caravan, and the fact that everything was easy to use. The caravan has a fake shower, and for some reason, that was one of the most popular parts of the vehicle. Some of the kids called it a "bus" some a car, but all in all, they left asking their parents for some more Pinypons! Each child got to take a few toys home with them, and they all loved the coloring sheets they received.

As a mom, here's my review. I love the fact that Pinypon allows kids to be unique and customize their dolls. They can interchange just about everything, even the hair and faces. That's awesome, but it also means there's a lot of little pieces. If your child is not great about keeping little pieces together, I would wait until she's a little bigger. It was a little rough for the 4 year old that was there to work with the little pieces, but she loved playing with the dolls themselves. They were chunky enough for her to grab them and manipulate them, without the bigger girls thinking they were too babyish. There's a TON of accessories and add-ons available, making this toy something that could grow with your child for years to come. The fact that there's oodles of little pieces also ensures the brand loyalty, because your daughter will eventually want more accessories for her Pinypon person.

Abbie has a few other dolls with teeny tiny pieces, and while this one has small parts, it's not the worst I've seen. As long as your daughter is good with keeping it all together, you should have no problems.

Now that our party was a few weeks ago, I can honestly say that this is a product I've seen my daughter playing with consistently. You do need a few little Pinypon people, because of their size, although, they have made friends with a young lady named Polly...

The Pinypon's themselves make great stocking stuffers, so if this is a product you might be interested in for the holidays, keep that in mind.

All in all, I think it's a great product for kids 5-7, maybe even a young 8, for the personalization/fashion aspect of it. Be sure to follow Pinypon on Facebook to stay up to date on all of the new products being released, any contests, and for special offers, too!

Special thanks to our friends at MomSelect for allowing us to review these products, and host this fabulous party through MommyParties.

Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop Review

With two girls who LOVE Polly Pocket in the 4BabyAndMom family, we are constantly hearing screeches of how they *NEED* want or HAVE to have whatever they see on TV, or whatever they see at the store. Babs is 6 and Mia is nine, so they're pretty opinionated, and know what they like.

We recently received the new Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop and a Polly Pocket Friends Finish First DVD to review. First- holy moly! We've never seen Polly Pocket on TV before, so the girls were ECSTATIC! They watched it over and over and over... well, you get the drift. I was finally able to get some stuff done around the house (*ahem*, I was not on pinterest-thank-you-very-much.. ok, maybe I was a little).

The play set was fabulous!  The Playtime Pet Shop allowed the girls to play with their Polly Pockets and animals- both of their favorites. It was even more fun when they decided to grab the suction shoes from the other play set we reviewed in August.

The Hangout House quickly became a favorite- but playing with both of them together, was even more fun. There's a cool "treat dispenser" that the miniature bones can fall out of, and Babs would just crack up every time it came out. The bad news is, like a lot of toys with teeny tiny parts, the bones went missing for a few days until they cleaned the room. Mia liked the fact that you could have the doggy sit in the window (to which I had to serenade them with "How Much is That Doggy In the Window") and the wheel that allows you to showcase the pet waiting for adoption.

The girls only complaint was that again, it didn't come with more than one Polly Pocket friend. Babs also has brown hair; she hasn't put it together that Polly is blonde- like Mia- and asks every.single.time why Polly doesn't have brown hair this time. They feel that if friends or sisters want to play with the larger play sets together, they should each be able to have a person to play with. Santa needs to get his act together, and hunt for Polly's friends so Babs has some people to play with, too.

I love the suction cups.. and the fact that they really work. I really thought that they would be kind of.... a good idea, but one that quickly fell apart or stopped working, but so far, so good. The girls love them, too, so I guess that's what's more important. I also love the fact that most of the items are a little larger, taller, or more tangible for the kids. That's good for me, and my vacuum, because it's less meltdowns because *something* of Polly's isn't floating in my vacuum canister.

If you have a little lady who loves Polly Pocket- add these two play sets to your 'must have' lists for the holidays- we have! If you can find the DVD, look into that as well. I haven't found it in stores, but Amazon has some old school ones.

The way our kids love them, I can see both of these play sets being named one of the super hot toys, come November.

Polly Pocket Hangout House + Stick-N-Play Review

With two girls in the house, we are always in search of fun toys that can keep both girls engaged. Both of them love to pretend with dolls and Polly Pocket is one of their favorites.

We received the new Polly Pocket Hangout House Playset and Polly Pocket Stick N Play "Kitchen" play set to review a few weeks ago. Both of the girls were saving their points (their allowance) for some Polly Pocket toys over the summer, so they were super excited to get their hands on these!

Just like the regular play sets, Polly Pocket comes with a bright, miniature spin-off of a real life location. The Hangout House is pretty nifty. According to the girls, it's like a house and "super-cool clubhouse" all in one. But one thing that makes this playset different is that the girls in the playset come with these suction cup shoes that allow them to "hang out" where ever you want to place them... giving a whole new meaning to "hanging out".

(Even Alex liked that play on words!)

How cool is that?! The girls loves sticking them upside down, and tried to stick them everywhere. Even on the sliding glass door, which had them in a fit of giggles!!

The one thing that I used to find annoying was the teeeeeeeeny tiny size of Polly Pocket, and all of her accessories. The good news is that they've all gotten a little bigger.

Don't get me wrong, they're still small, the girls barely noticed, but I saw that they were able to play with some of the accessories, get Polly and her friends suction shoes on all by themselves, and organize their house without asking for help a trillion times.

We're already in love with Polly Pocket, and are really excited to see what new, fun, Stick-n-play accessories are going to become available this holiday season. Know that you're going to be seeing these play sets as one of the holidays hottest toys for girls.

A New Adventure-Little Tikes TikeStix Review + Giveaway

Keeping the kids busy over the summer-without killing each other- was quite the challenge for us this year. Finding something that kept the both of them engaged and entertained was.. difficult, to say the least.

The kids love to play pretend, and usually play together nicely, but since the baby came around, I feel like they are constantly arguing. When I found the Little Tikes TIKESTIX Clubhouse, I knew I had to give this new product a whirl. Not only did it appeal to my son's desire to build, but it also looked easy enough for my daughter to use without her big brother's help.

From Little Tikes:
Grab your hard hats and work boots and prepare to use your imagination in a BIG! way as Little Tikes proudly introduces TikeStix™, an all-new dynamic line of indoor and outdoor construction toys built for kids that promotes innovative ways of toy building play. From forts and racecars, to aliens and petting zoos, Little Tikes TikeStix™ is designed to encourage a child’s imagination and creativity, while teaching motor and project-building skills. (Age grade: 4+)
The Playhouse and Clubhouse each come with 50 interlocking pieces, 1 piece of fabric and eight clips so kids can create and build a fort, playhouse, and more that they can actually fit in!
Upon receiving the box, the kids delighted in the fact that it had a handle, and they could "bring it to grandma's to make a fort!" So that we did.

Within minutes, they had the box open, and decided that they were going to create the fort in the picture. My son- the logistic one- opened up the directions to read about how to put it all together. My daughter decided sorting the pieces would be much more efficient, plus every different color and every different shape made her more and more excited to play with them.

They finally agreed that pulling out the pieces would be the easiest, so when they needed a piece they could just grab it from that pile. (Although, that step is not necessary, that's what worked for my kids.)

They quickly went into action, snapping pieces onto each other, making corners, and walls- until the creation actually started to look like something distinguishable. They worked together, with minimal disagreements, and even had to do some problem solving when it came to the peak of the roof of the fort. They kept trying to get the grey connecter to fit, but they just couldn't do it... and then they turned it, and it went together in a snap!

The two of them continued to build the fort, and when they got to the next peak, they knew exactly what to do. I did have a video of this, but it keeps distorting when I upload it to YouTube. Basically, Abbie was pretending she was a princess, and her castle was in need of repair. She was hysterical- thanking her brother for being her knight in shining armor. Where does she even get these things?!
They finally got the clubhouse assembled, and carefully attached the green fabric roof. That's when the fun began! They raced cars in and out of it, had a pretend picnic with plastic food and imaginary tea. Abbie told Grandma she wanted to read her stories under there that evening.

Then they flipped the box closed, and saw that they could make other things besides a clubhouse and the creativity exploded!

They took apart their "fort" in no time, and began to create other projects, and even made a "boat", singing as they rowed. They packed their extra pieces in the hull of their ship, and rowed it to safety from the alligator (the green fabric), an angry square fish- the instructions, and random creatures on the soft sea.. aka, the carpet. I cannot remember the last time they sang and played together that nicely.

Not only did they play, laugh, and giggle, they remembered how much fun they had with it, and have played with it many times since then, recalling what they made, and brainstorming to see if they can come up with something better this time.

Every time they play with their TikeStix, it's a new adventure! Tike Stix are geared for kids 4 and up. Our family loves this product so much, we named it one of our 4BabyAndMom Must Haves! Since kids learn often through play, our friends at Little Tikes have offered a Clubhouse playset to one lucky 4BabyAndMom reader.
