"Wooleycat's Musical Theater" Book Review and Giveaway!
I love books with CD's.. that happens to be a weakness of mine. Whether it helps with teaching children how to read, or just contains songs for the kiddos to jive to- I love books with CD's!
In fact, I remember being young and having books with records that used to beep when you needed to turn the page, and I used to love reading about Little Miss Muffet and The Three Little Pigs.
Recently, my kids and I had the opportunity to read and sing along with Wooleycat's Musical Theater, an adorable book with a fun twist on traditional nursery rhymes that also includes a 10 song CD on its cover from award winning creators.
The songs you'll hear from Wooleycat's Musical Theater feature new and exciting versions of classics like Humpty Dumpty and his new story on how "Love and care can pull you back when you fall apart" and Miss Muffet's Mmm Berry Pie, about a tiny spider baker.
The kids giggled and laughed the whole book through; both of them bopping their heads in approval. Alex loved the fact that he could read the words along with the songs, and had them memorized quicker than any other song he's heard before. In the car a couple of days after we listened to Wooleycat's Musical Theater for the first time, he started singing and bopping the tune to the "Mmm Berry Pie song", (as he calls it!). This book would be a great collection to your child's library or music collection!

I like the wheels on the jeep - why? Well quite simply because it is my two years old fave song - but with "bus" instead of "jeep" he was moving along to it and LOVIN it!!
I like the chefs hat ...
I would love to win because reading is very important to my family and with a CD it makes it even more fun!
thanks for the chance,

My funny child singing story, short and sweet:
Everytime my 2 year old son sings with his 6 year old sister, he says the first word and last two words of what she said last - so he is always about one sentence behind her in the song - when they do this together it just sounds sooo cute and silly!
thanks,

Aw, can't participate because I'm Canadian...sigh...
But what a great looking book/cd! I just love books with cds, too. Multi-media all the way!
I like the crown and the Gimme a Little Kiss* song. I like this cd because I don't have to worry about the content. It was also fun to listen too because it was upbeat and that is why I would love to win.
When Alison was little we were singing the song White Christmas and she sang it May all your christmases be Married in White instead of marry and bright.
Years later and we are still singing it that way.
I like the nursery rhymes cd the best and Ladybug, the Famous Firefighter is a really cute song. I am a fan of the Crown! I would like to win because I read to my baby girl every night before bed and I am running out of good quality books and the CD would be a ton of fun, she loves music.
I like Dance Cinderella Dance and the crown, very princess-ey!
We'd love to win this cd because with a 14 yr old in the house Mya never gets to listen to her music so a brand new cd would be the perfect reason!

Our funniest musical moment was when Scheron was 3 or 4 and his daycare was holding their christmas paegant (just a bunch of kids singing, no acting!). He was SO excited waiting for his turn on stage he was dancing and singing away in line. No matter how much his teacher tried to get him to stand still he wouldn't, lol. We love to watch it on tape and laugh!

I like fiddly fee fi fo and the chefs hat!
my boys love to sing and love music so a good children's CD is always appreciated. It helps children audiate in their heads!
my oldest son has a form of autism but he loves to sing. Right now (in the middle of spring) he is on a Christmas music kick and makes me play my Christmas CD in the car. Then he sings the songs all day long. Recently he has been singing what I like to call our Mafia Christmas Carol - it goes like this - HO, HO, the missing toe, hung where you can see! Very unfortunate with our very Italian last name! Yikes.
our son LOVES joni mitchell- and we love this!!
Wee Willie Winkie was cute.
If Wishes Were Fishes is cute!
I'd love this because I'm desperately trying to get my 2 1/2 yo son interested in reading.
I like Gimme A Little Kiss and the Crown hat.
I like This Old Man and the Chef's hat.
I'd love to win this for my kids. They both love to read and my daughter loves singing and dancing!

A musical story -- we read books and sing songs every night before bed -- the same two songs every night -- Lullaby and Amazing Grace. Both kids can sing the songs themselves but they insist that I sing them every night -- it's our musical tradition I guess :-)

When Kira was about 15 months old, I have a video of her singing "I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee". When she gets to the part about wiping off the squished bumblebee, she leans over and "wipes it off" on her butt!
